  On my first week in New Zealand I was here and needed nail clippers. They were 18 dollars. I’d heard New Zealand was expensive so I bought them only to find similar ones for 3 dollars half an hour later. I walked in and asked nicely for a refund, as it was quite a lot for me. They realised I wasn’t familiar with New Zealand and said no coldly and I left feeling humiliated and not sure if New Zealand had a no refund policy. Later on I found out that wasn’t normal and they should have refunded me for something I hadn’t used and had a receipt for. It’s wrong to take advantage of tourists
